BRITISH INVASION

ISO Artist Ben Mollin Presents

Delicious, berry-colored hair hues and "British invasion" inspired haircuts infuse the trippy '60s with a modern twist in the new Strawberry Fields collection from ISO Artist and Shear Genius finalist Ben Mollin. Inspired by the blueberry, raspberry and strawberry color effects that he created by combining ISO i.Luminate demi-permanent Pastel Mixers and vivid Intensifiers with other shades in the range, he challenged himself and his team to create a collection that struck a balance between psychedelic and futuristic. The result? Mod, go-go shapes accented with fantastic, "tangerine sky" shades, finished for today's adventurous client.

The majority of the color designs in the collection started with strategic, prelightened sections, which were then tinted with vivid combinations of colors, based on the INV (intense violet), INR (intense red) and INCG (intense copper gold) shades in the i.Luminate collection. All of the i.Luminate crème colors are acid-balanced, ammonia free and formulated to improve the condition of hair. An artist's dream come true, the range offers a wide range of shades and mixers that can produce a vast array of customized shades.

In a nod to the "organic" feel of the swingin' '60s, Mollin and his team kept it free and easy when it came to finishing. ISO Daily Foam formed the foundation for all of the looks; Hydra Moisture Crème ensured smooth, nourished, healthy blow-outs; Daily Shape served double-duty as a flexible working spray and soft holding spray and Tamer Foam, a unique foam-gel, provided extra support for the curly textures. "Keeping in mind that they didn’t have a lot of styling products in Sassoon’s heyday," Ben comments, "we needed products that got the job done but were virtually undetectable in the finished looks."
