Nexture makes waves on the #1 radio show in NY

ISO's On-The-Air Makeover Alerts NY Audience To Texture without Commitment

WBLI’s Long Island listeners learned all about the power of Nexture, recently, when ISO Advisor Giovanna Abatte transformed the tresses of one of the morning show’s staffers on the air. Featured in the popular “Hersday” segment, which targets the tastes of female listeners, Abatte used Nexture to produce a soft, tousled, sexy look for Amanda Green, the producer of the morning show.

The resourceful Abatte prepped Green with Joico K-Pak Reconstructor and then “Nextured” her model’s hair in the station’s kitchen, (in just 30 minutes) while the show’s popular DJs, Randy and Dana, waited for the results. She reports that the “reveal” produced “clapping, laughter and hurrahs,” as the DJ’s described Green’s long, layered, gorgeous hair to the listening audience, and read aloud from Nexture product literature.

WBLI, billed as “Long Island’s #1 Hit Music Station,” reaches more than 350,000 listeners. The “Hersday” show, which airs every Thursday morning, sources enticing products and services with built-in appeal to women. The DJs and other members of the “Hersday” staff usually try out the products and undergo the services, then discuss their experiences on the show. Staff favorites also appear on the station’s website, www.wbli.com.

Nexture fit the “Hersday” profile perfectly. A one-step semi-permanent texture styling treatment, it offers the perfect solution for the client who wants to wear wave, body and texture without a long-term commitment. It lasts through 20 shampoos and comes in formulas for Normal/Resistant and Tinted/Highlighted hair. “Amanda’s hair had the perfect amount of wave,” says Abatte, “and the DJs thought it was the newest thing they had ever seen!”
